| How do I add a link at the top of my email to view a web version? |
|
A best practice when creating HTML emails is to create a link at the top of your creative that reads something like: "Have trouble viewing this email? Click here to view it online." The reason for this is many email programs disable images by default, leaving a blank email or gray boxes if your email is made up of an entire image or mostly images. By adding a link to a web version, a user can simply click a link and see your email in full HTML if they choose to not download images. There are two options: - When first creating your account and selecting to display the header, the application will automatically include a link to the web version in the system-supplied header. If this option isn't selected, you simply need have your Admin edit your account settings to display this. Once done, go back into the email you were working on and hit 'Save and Edit' after the screen has finished loading. That will add that header to the existing email. Any new emails created will automatically have that header included. - If you want to create your own text and link to the web-only version without the system header, simply link your text to the merge tag %%webversion%% Contact your support personnel if you have additional questions. |
