| What is Dynamic Content? |
|
Dynamic Content is a feature inside the application
(found under Advanced in the left-hand navigation) that allows you to
use snippets in order to create blocks of content that can be used to create a truly one-to-one email marketing experience - provided you have the data to support it. Here's a few examples based on your average run-of-the-mill template with a header, sidebar, etc.: - In your database, you have a custom field called 'Favorite Sport' and you know which of your audience likes football, baseball and hockey. Based on that information, you can create three different headers and the people that like football will get the football one, the baseball fans will get the baseball one and hockey fans, the hockey one. What if you don't have that field populated? No problem. Create a 'default' that can be generic. - If you know your subscribers' towns of residence, you can customize a piece of content that speaks directly to them. Imagine having different push graphics based on a regional promotion that speaks directly to the end user. If you know that information, you can create the various pieces of content and set the criteria based on whatever you like. You can create as many pieces of dynamic content in an email as you like. If you have the data and the resources to create different pieces of content that will speak to your audience, you can truly create a unique one-on-one email marketing experience. |
