| How do I use Google Analytics with my email campaigns? |
![]() The application has the ability for anyone who has Google Analytics installed on their web site (used for web visitation and tracking) to add a small bit of tracking code to your email campaign links so that when your subscribers click them to visit your web site, Google Analytics will show they came from your campaign. With the two integrated, you can send an email campaign, attach Google tracking (under advanced tracking when sending a campaign) and then log into your Google Analytics account to see who visited from the campaign, where they went on your site after the click and more. How To Integrate On the first page of the email sending process, you will see an option to check a box to integrate Google Analytics. ![]() By checking that, you'll have the option to name how your Mailing Campaign and the Source Name will appear in your Analytics account. Once someone clicks, that information will be passed to your Analytics account as a Source. Note: This is an advanced tracking concept and you must have knowledge of whether or not your web site has Google Analytics installed. Speak to your webmaster if unsure. If not, clicking the checkbox during the send process if you don't have it installed will distort your link tracking. |
